Many moons ago, in the late 1940s after the end of the Second World War, it was felt that the UCL community needed a project to bring all strands of the campus together. And what better to do so than a newspaper: Pi was born. Named by wittier people than I after the Provost at the time, Sir David Pye, Pi Newspaper shook UCL’s Bloomsbury campus up.
Many different Pi projects have come and gone over the years, but – at time of writing, and it really could change any second – Pi consists of a Magazine (published four times a year), an Online platform (updated daily with news, sport, and everything else), and the youngest and most happening platform, Pi TV.
We’re UCL’s largest student media group, and its most diverse. Unlike any of our competitors, we cover the entire spectrum of topics, from News and Sport, to Science and Literature. While we’d like to say we make you think, we’d also like to say we make you smile.
Beyond our media platforms, we’re a fully functioning society, with speaker events, workshops and socials galore. So, what are you waiting for? firstname.lastname@example.org
