Pi, as UCL’s largest, oldest and most diverse student media, offers many opportunities for advertisers to get their brand noticed. As a part of University College London Union, Pi is the official student media of almost 40,000 students with diverse backgrounds and specialisms, and of a university currently ranked 5th in the QS World University Rankings. It goes without saying that association with such a highly regarded institution would be extremely beneficial for your brand.
With three platforms – Pi Magazine, Pi Online and PiTV – we can offer unique advertising packages, suitable to your brand’s image.
Pi Magazine, the most established of our platforms, comes out four times per academic year, with at least 2000 copies circulated on campus. Uniquely among UCL student publications, Pi has its own distribution boxes throughout campus, including in the busy cafes, making it easy to spot and easy to pick up. Likewise, Pi has the most active distribution team, physically handing out the magazine to students. Pi Magazine was also awarded UCLU’s Best Publication award for 2015/16.
Pi Online, relaunched in 2014, has the fastest growing online presence of many of the London student medias, with a Facebook and Twitter following that grows by the day. The platform was award the Student Publication Association’s Best Website 2015/16 .
PiTV, also relaunched in 2014, focuses on producing high quality one-off videos, as well as featuring several series (one series from 2013/14 organised a music festival under the Portico). Opportunities to sponsor one-off videos or series are available.
