Pi Magazine – relaunched

The latest edition of Pi Magazine is now on campus. And it’s a Pi Magazine like we’ve never seen before…

We here at Pi have been working extra hard recently, and for something that’s better than ever before. With a magazine that has doubled in length, we’re bringing double the features, twice as much design and more Overheard than you could know what to do with.

This issue has not one, but two interviews! From ballet soloist at the Royal Opera House, Yasmine Naghdi (p21) to the guitar melodies of transatlantic duo Big Deal (p49). If those aren’t enough, we have an interview with you, the UCL student population, on your political views. (p3)

Or perhaps you just want a complete break from academia all together? Why not catch an Uber out of uni? (p15) Or see what the 21st century has to offer you in terms of travel? (p9)

With Valentine’s Day just around the corner Pi, as always, has you covered. Whether you’re spending it with a loved one, needing something to cook (p25) and working out what to watch. (p45) Or, instead, if you’re at the other end of the spectrum and hate, rather than love, rules your heart, (p33) or maybe you just need something for distraction. (p37)

There is something for everyone in this issue, whether that is reading a feature or admiring the design, so we really hope you take the time to pick up a copy of Pi and have a flick through.

Hopefully, you’ll enjoy and appreciate the new Pi Magazine, and continue to do so as we keep building on it from here. Finally, a huge thank you to everyone who helped put this magazine together, and everyone who strives to continue securing Pi’s place as UCL’s official student media.

The magazine can be found in all UCLU cafés, the Main and Science libraries, the Engineering building, and from distributors. Look for the boxes with the UCLU logo, and the words ‘Pi Media’.
