UCLU Dodgeball Club has announced its annual Interclub competition
The time has come for clubs and societies to battle it out for the most coveted honour in UCLU sports. UCLU Dodgeball Club has revealed that the Interclub Charity Dodgeball Tournament is back again for the 7th year running! 40 teams will enter; only one will emerge victorious. Which team has what it takes to win a £100 bar tab at Loop and become an Ultimate Dodgeball Champion?
The event will be a knock-out tournament on Wednesday 25th March from 1-5pm in the Main Quad. All proceeds will go to Cardiac Risk in the Young (C-R-Y), a wonderful charity focused on helping and raising awareness for young people at risk from suffering from sudden cardiac arrest. It only costs £10 to enter a team of 5 players, although teams can bring as many substitutes as they would like.
Entry for clubs, societies and departments opened today for anyone who would like to enter a team. To register, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with the team name, club/ society/ department (if applicable), captain’s name and a contact number.
Like last year, there will be an open (free) dodgeball training session that anyone can attend! This will take place on Friday 20th March, 5-6.30pm, Somer’s Town Community Sports Centre. Go along if you want to learn the rules and pick up some tips from seasoned dodgeball pros. Just turn up in sports gear and be prepared to dodge, duck, dip, dive and dodge.
