What is Pi Media?
Founded in 1946 by the student Richard Lubbock, and named after then Provost Sir David Pye, Pi Media has spent over 70 years creating award-winning content for the student population of University College London, and we are still going strong.
Initially launched as a newspaper, we now primarily dedicate ourselves between three outlets: Pi Online is our online platform, where we post the majority of our content; Pi Magazine is our features publication, which is published around four times a year; and PiTV is our collaboration with UCL’s Film Society, dedicated to providing a range of content, from interviews with UCL scientists to backstage access to UCL Arts Society shows.
We are always seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our diverse team of writers, editors, columnists, filmmakers, producers and designers. Maybe you are a budding film critic? Or you are interested in exploring investigative journalism? Or maybe you have a completely new idea for Pi Media to explore? Whatever it is, we can’t wait to hear from you! If you get in touch with the relevant editors, or follow us on Facebook or Twitter, we will do our best to help!
